Mmmm!, you have got a bit of my askings. if you have seen on going football worldcup so you would have also seen the promo of it that some particles coming from the side of the screen and after some time become composed of a footballer’s figure. Those particles are simply golden solid spheres of different sizes perhaps made by Trapcode Particular or any other plugin.

If you just want spheres with native AE Plugins you might try Simulate > CC Ball Action followed up with Simulate > CC Scatterize or Stylize > Scatter (the Scatters if you want smaller pieces).
