How to make an Animated Gasoline rainbow sequence?
Hello, I’m trying to make a Chemical/Petrol-Rainbow effect. It should loop, and the colors should ebb/flow away from it’s epicenter.
I’m not too sure how to do this efficiently, or whether or not there’s a simple way of doing this, like an effect… The best way I can think about accomplishing this, is to make a sequence of layers for each color in Illustrator and animate them in AE.
Fyi, I have no programming experience, let alone for AE.

You could try creating a circular ramp, blending some fractal noise into it, distorting it maybe with Turbulent Displace and using the Colorama effect to colorize it.

Thank you!, That worked perfectly, EXACTLY what I needed… Boy am I glad I posted this thread, cause I NEVER would have thought of doing that; most of my AE skills are in film editing and elementary AE animation.
