December 25, 2011 at 7:43 pmYou either build in the loop and extend a long movie, or use the loop function of QuickTime if you’re using QuickTime to playback (you can also set a loop flag in QT). DVDs have loop functions as well.
What’s your playback method?

December 26, 2011 at 5:58 amThere’s also a nice little app called LoopyLoopy that will set any QT video into endless loop mode from an iPhone or iPad. If you have an iOS device and it’s attendant doc connector to VGA adapter, that’s another approach.
If you want to run from a laptop – PlaybackPro from DTV labs has got a pretty stellar rep. But it’s not as cheap. And of course you’ll need the proper Apple dongle to get video out of your particular version of the mac video out VGA/DisplayPort connection.
Depends very much on the hardware and output capabilities you need.

December 26, 2011 at 5:17 pmBoth quicktime 7 and quicktime X have a loop function if you’re playing off of a mac. It’s under the View menu. Command L is the keyboard shortcut.
[Jeremy Garchow] “you can also set a loop flag in QT”
Jeremy, are you saying there’s a way to set a flag in the quicktime video to force it to loop?

Have you tried this.
Highlight the clip, click on the retiming tool icon, and try instant replay.
This has worked for me.

May 12, 2014 at 4:49 pmThe Instant Replay worked great for me. I had a 30 sec loop I needed to run for 15 min and it was perfect.
