  How to make a shape follow a shape path?

  Hi there,

  I was trying to imitate the following web GIF. I managed to create a moving path which I created a shape path on a shape layer and applied a trim path effect but i got stuck on how to make the circle follow the moving shape path?

  My method is:
  To create an ellipse shape path on the same shape layer;
  copy the moving path and paste it to the position of the ellipse shape;

  Here come the problem: everytime I paste the path, the ellipse did follow a path, but it is not on the original track. (there is some offsetting).

  I tried to adjust the anchor point and etc, but its hard to do it.

  Anyone can help me fix the problem?
