How to make a line look like its being drawn…
I’ve seen a lot of AE clips with lines that are animated to look like they’re being drawn or extended across the screen. How is this accomplished? I assume you could use a mask to uncover parts of it, but it seems like there is an easier way. I’m sure there are a number of ways to go about this, so any input would be great… thanks!

The write-on effect works well. Try Aharon’s tutorial on animating a signature
If you are thinking about growing vines, there’s a lot of stuff about that, just do a search. -

If you have about 6 hours to spare, check out the tutorial by jaysen. Hell of a lot of work to do, but the result is great. And yes, it’s the write-on effect.
