  • How to make a jumbled up kern on a text layer

Posted by Chris Huggett on February 23, 2006 at 3:01 am

    Hi guys

i have a text layer that i need to start with a large kern and also have the characters of the word out of order. Over time the kern decreases and the word forms correctly.

    Eg V I C R A E T E to for CREATIVE

I have tried the random feature with a regular kern but it does not work.

    Any ideas

    Chris

Have you tried using the text animators? You can set a per-character position (x only) and set it to wiggle instead of range.

I’d also rummage through the text animator presets to see if one does it already or is close to it as a starting point.
