    Hi All,

Long time reader first time poster on these forms. as well not sure this is the right place to post this but as am using Premiere thought this might be my best bet. if not I do apologise for any inconvenience caused.

I been scouring the internet to find a way to make an effect/grade on my footage that looks similar to:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQ62QP0DIHE

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDuif301F-8

around those lines, most what I found is vintage/grungy which too much of an effect and not hard to make. as well I tried to re-make the footage look like or similar to the videos above by using (Looks, MisFire and Filmconvert pro) but to no luck as am newish to grading usually Curves, Levels and masking is as far as I go.

If anyone can point me in the right direction or shed some light on how its done or even if there is a name for the effect, will be really greatful.

    Thanks! 🙂

It looks like they shot with an old VHS or Hi8 camera. One with a very poor sensor…contrasty, horrid color. Not sure a plugin can recreate that look.

Thanks for the quick reply! highly appreciated. I did search for VHS feel as well but all there was was scratching overlays. I guess will just have to go with something else if there is nothing I can do about it .

    Thanks again Shane!
