How to Make a Clip Non Drop Frame
Hi all, and thanks to anyone who can help!
Think I’ve got a pretty basic question here, but I usually work with Avid, and this has me stumped.How in the world do I change a single clip from drop frame to non drop frame?
This is some playback stuff that we got from set, streams of videogames.
I used MPEG Streamclip to make the Quicktimes, but I either skipped a step, or Streamclip did its job correctly.
Either way, I got drop frame clips, and we’re cutting in non drop frame.Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

This is dropped frames during playback.
Final Cut Pro -> User Preferences -> uncheck the option ‘report dropped frames during playback’

Thanks for that, and I’ll try it, but I’m not sure that is what I’m looking for.
(Haven’t played back any of the clips yet, I was just noticing that they’re drop frame in the bin.)
In Avid, you can change a clip or sequence to non drop just by using Cmd + I and then just hitting the colon or semicolon key. I’m wondering if there’s any equivalent in FCP.

Ah yes that is for stopping notifications, I have to say I do stuff for web so dropped frames are not much of a bother at a 400kbps flv.

Francis, you’re barking up the wrong tree – she’s talking about timecode, not dropped frames on the timeline.
Kimberly, you want “Modify>Timecode – Format”. This will change the metadata in the QT file.
