    Hello Forum,

i have a map animation and everything is fine, except that i fail to do a 3D Arrow.
Here is a layout of my animation:
    https://www.vimeo.com/16562374

As you can see the 3D Path doesn’t move right at the start and thats what i want to remedy.
    My Comp is like this:
i have the Map part in a precomp “A” and i put them in different positions in z-space. Now i added that precomp “A” to another Precomp “B” for the cameraflight and the light, where i use the z-space scale property to let the map-parts fly in. As you see that works fine.
BUT if i put a 3D Shape layer in that composition “B” it doesn’t work… I get no shadow of the shape layer on the map and it is not 3D. So i made a 3rd composition in which i put my 3D Path to move from Point A to B. But then i have the Problem that i described above, because of the camera motion and zoom the arrow doesn’t move right or i would have a tremendous amount of fiddling before i get it right.

My Question is: Why can’t i put the shape Layer in comp “B” because than i wouldn’t have to worry about the camera motion. What am i overlooking?

I hope i described my problem well enough.

i found this post, but it didn’t really help me: https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/960329#960418
