Hey I am trying to make this effect on a picture of a globe, 2 light points from opposite ends meeting in the center

Anyone how I would be able to do this?

If you don’t have NewBlue FX perhaps you could try the Sony Cookie cutter effect with a small circle on one track for one side and copy the event to a new track as another layer for the other side, and your original globe picture unmodified on a 3rd track below the other 2 then play with the screen/add/alpha track settings to get a look you’re ok with.

You could also set it to create 2 circles on one track and try to change the size of the circles inversely while zooming in or out with the event or track motion for that clip, again leaving an unmodified globe pic directly below on another track. Good luck. Vegas may not be the best tool for this task.

Thanks I’ve heard of New Blue, which FX are you referring to?

Look at the “Light Effects” package.
