  • How to lower number of vertices on a mask shape?

    Hi!

I created a bunch of masked layers with roto brush to use with newton plugin but the problem is that they are too complex. Is there a way to quickly lower the number of vertices on a allready existing mask? Lowering the polygons in newton doesnt help.

    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Dave,

I made a selection on a layer with the roto brush and then in the layer menu clicked the autotrace command.

    Am i doing it wrong?

    hi Dave

I managed to lower the vertice number by adjusting auto trace options and now it’s working fine.

I’m using newton for various things. It’s kind of hard to explain since it is a rather experimental animation film but basically it’s to make drawings jump around and bounce in collision with other drawings. I previously made a test with shape layers and then planned the whole thing for newton so i don’t see how i could find an alternative.

Anyway, now it’s working so all is well:)

    Thanks!

    Spiro
