how to loop video for playback?
Id like to have say 5 min of video play and keep looping while 2 or 12 hours of audio plays on a dvd. Can vegas do this? Or how about with slides instead of video?

Just click-n-drag the end of the video event on the timeline to match the length of the music and it will loop by default. If you are looking for a way to have the DVD loop a smaller video file with longer music, there is no way to do this. You must render the lopped video with the music for the length desired.
