How to locate linked files?
I’m in 6.5 and need to make changes to several illustrator text files. When I open AE, the file is there and looks fine, but I cannot locate the file anywhere. I’ve done a full network search of the file (by the exact source name – not the layer name) and have come back with ‘zero results’ – but the ai file shows up fine in the AE comp, so it must exist or I would get some sort of error when opening it up – right?
In other applications there is a link menu wherein you can trace down the file – is there a similar function in AE?
Any help anyone can provide is much appreciated.

Right click on the file in the Project window and choose “Reveal in Finder”.
