  • How to link certain keyframes?

    Sorry for google translator

Hi guys, I need some help.
I have a keyframe in position A and another keyframe in position B.

I need to switch between position A and position B at a specific time in the timeline.

Is there a way to make sure that when I change the two keyframes A and B, I automatically change the respective keyframes to A and B?

Can you try and explain that in more detail? Right now it sounds like you are describing how keyframes work: If you switch (swap) keyframes A and B locations, you will get a reverse animation. That’s just how keyframes work. So the actual question, I gather, must be something different…?

    Oks

    Oks! Here is the image:

We have the red keyframes, they must be of equal value. I would like that when you change keyframe A, keyframes B and C are changed with the same values of keyframe A automatically.

Ok, I see. You can do so with expressions, but it is somewhat complex, since you need to tell the expression which keyframes should move (by index) and interpolate between fixed and adjustable keyframes between each keyframe pair.

Here’s part of the answer, maybe 1/3 of the full expression needed, although this is slider-based value rather than keyframed. Similar idea though, except that you need to check both the previous and next keyframes at any given time. https://forums.creativecow.net/docs/forums/post.php?forumid=227&postid=30131&univpostid=30131&pview=t

Keyframe value linking would be a nice feature.

If you select all the keyframes, hover on top of position transformation, and drag the position value, all keyframes are changes depending on the value change you make.

Meaning, if you have two keyframes:

    A – 0px
    B – 100px

Then click drag the mouse over the position transformation for X, within 50px, keyframes becomes:

    A – 50px
    B – 150px

This will make sense only if you need to change it once.
