how to line up sound track and clapper board
Hi
I have a sound track i need to sync with a visual clapper board.
I am having difficulty lining the 2 up.
What is the best way, assunming i have turned snap off.
When i try dragging the sound track but it seems a very inaccurate waythanks

I sometimes don’t even have the time to use a clapper board. Nevertheless, in the time line, I just zoom very deep into the audio. align the audio patterns of 2 tracks and lo, I am locked exactly in sync.

Disable “Quantize to Frames” (toolbar icon, under Options or Alt+F8).
This will now let you slide the audio in sample increments (i.e. much finer than a frame).
Remember to enable it when you get things lined up properly as you don’t want to cut your video on a non-frame boundary.
