  • How to Launch Premier Pro Without 3rd Party Plug Ins

    Hello,
Please help as I cannot open Premier or After Effects after installing Yosemite upgrade. I think it is Blue FX and or red Giant Plug Ins causing this. How do I open my software without these plug ins? I have urgent projects in the pipeline.
    Thanks So Much!!!!

Go to your Plugins folder and remove them. There are Plugins folders for Premiere and After Effects in their Applications folders. Copy them to another folder, then delete them. See if that helps.

In the future I recommend not upgrading OS’s until a considerable amount of time has gone by so the bugs can be worked out. If it ain’t broke on the previous OS, don’t fix it.

I did get both Premier and After Effects to launch without the plug ins. Should I reinstall one plug in at a time until one locks the system up? Thanks so much for your help!!!!

If you reinstalled the plugins and they aren’t working, I think your best bet is to contact the plugin creators. I’m guessing they haven’t had time to test the plugins in Yosemite yet.
