How to keep the same resolution in after effects and Sony Vegas
Hello all,
I exported a video still from Sony Vegas and later imported it to Adobe After Effects for masking purposes.
When I was happy with the masking I exported the video still to an AVI format to have it imported again into Sony Vegas to continue editing.
The issue is the still is now different after editing it in After Effects. It looks like zoomed in as if the resolution had changed.
I know you’ll probably need more details but I’m don’t know enough about video editing so I’ll just wait to hear from you guys regarding what details you need to me to provide to help me solve this.
I did attach two screenshots showing the difference between before exporting the still from Sony Vegas and after working on it with After Effect and importing it back to Vegas.

Upload a screenshot of your project panel with the footage selected and the another screenshot of your Render Settings from Render Queue.

Your Project in Sony Vegas has different Resolution Settings.
See the settings difference:
Sony Vegas
After Effects
Make sure you render with 720 X 480 resolution from AE.
To do so, Make a new Comp of 720 X 480 resolution in AE and import your 1280 X 720 comp in it. Now select your comp layer and Press ” Cntl + Alt + F “ and then render.
