    Hello everyone,
Forgive my stupidity; I’m sure its something simple but…

Can anyone tell me how to keep text in the same position without moving when keyframing in new letters/lines?

Imagine yourself typing in MS word. As you type, the letters already written stay in the same place, right? Of course!!

Then how do I get Vegas to do this? As I add letters/line/keyframes Vegas changes the position of letters already written!?!? I want to key frame something being written, as in a simulated computer screen?

    Thanks for your help!

Are you using the pro-type titler or the Media Generator text? Are you typing accidently with Center Alignment?

It sounds like you have your text center aligned and even MS Word will move the text when you ask it to be centered. Try using left justify.

Go to the Placement tab and select Center Left (or anything except Free Form). If you need to reposition the text use Pan/Crop. It’s the Free Form setting that’s making the text move.
