how to keep one person colour and other video greyscale
hi,
i am from india.i am learning premier pro for my home video editing.some of tutorials on this site are very helpful.i saw that color pass tutorial.but that is for only one colour.i want to keep one person colourful(skin colour and clothes colour) and other part in greyscale.
can u tell me how to do that?

you can do that in AE rotoscoping

In Premiere, you can do it using a Color Pass effect and use a Traveling Matte to apply the effect to the color target if it moves within the frames.

Often the person stands out from the background enough that you can make it monochrome and play with the levels to get it to be all white or all black. Using a garbage matte, isolate the person and use that as a track matte.

i’ve gone the after effects rotoscoping route before, and if you’re just editing home movies, i wouldnt suggest it – it took roughly 6 weeks to rotoscope a 12 minute short in the way you’re suggesting. the color pass filter combined with a traveling matte wont get the most accurate results, but it will be a heck of a lot faster
