This may be a basic issue, but I haven’t had luck with google results. I’m trying to insert one clip between 2 others, but the separate music layer beneath the video gets split when I insert. I only want to affect the video layer. How can I prevent this from happening?

edit: I discovered that if I toggled the V on the video layer it didn’t cut into the audio

Lock the audio track you don’t want disturbed.
