    Hi,

I have imported a jpeg image into a sequnce of 25fps. Then i take my image to the timelin track. Originally my image is of 1 frame. The maximum that I can increase it to 2 mins after giving the IN and OUT in the source window.

How can i increase the jpeg timeline for than 2 mins. Please suggest.

    Regards,
    Anand

Under the Final Cut pull down menu>User Preferences>Still/Freeze Duration. Change the time to whatever value you need and then reimport your stills.

    Hi Tom,

Thanks for your inputs. I set the time as suggested by you. But still when i give the file the max in and out points and take it to the time line , the maximum time it gives me is 2 mins.

I have made the pre and post roll values on preferences as 00:00:06:00 – 00:00:10:00. should i change that value as well.

    Please suggest.

    Regards,
    Anand

No, just change the duration in the Viewer before editing it to the timeline.

You will also need to get rid of the old stills in your browser and then re-import them again to have them come in at the new length. Otherwise, in the viewer they will automatically have in in/out points set when you load them into the window. Just clear those out to get the fill length of the still you imported.

Thanks for your inputs. But my problem persists. I will try and detail it incase I am doing anything incorrect.

I have opened a FCP session. I create a new sequence. Then I go to user preferences –> editing tab –> still/freez duration. Currently it is showing 01:12:00:00. I change it to say 03:12:00:00. Moment I tab out from the field t changes back to its original value.

Please suggest what do I need to do change the value of the same.

    Regards,
    Anand
