Peace to all! I’d like to ask everyone if they have any tips or tricks to share on methods of improving an actor’s performance in the editing room. Anything you can contribute to this knowledge base would be greatly appreciated. Thank so much!

    Hey Robert,

Big difference from between comedy, to corporate and drama + is the actor/actress talking?

If the actor is good, you don’t need to do much.
If not, start editing in reaction shots of other actors, cover with B-Roll, or chop up multiple takes if you have that luxury – or re-frame the shot in the edit.

But a good actor should not need “improving”.
And, for those greatest of actors, less is more – where you might even be able cut some of the dialogue scenes.

    Just an opinion.
