  • How to import .pjt multitrack audio into FCPX?

Posted by Ned Thorne on May 23, 2015 at 3:26 am

I’m very new to FCPX (coming from FCP 7) and am having trouble with importing some multitrack audio files.

The files came to me with each audio take as a separate folder with a .pjt extension (which I’ve never encountered). Example: WPNZD1_001.pjt. Inside are three wave files corresponding to the various sources the on-set sound person recorded (boom, lav, etc.). When I try to import them into my Event, they come in as three separate files. I want to know how either 1) how to combine these outside of FCPX into files that will import as single multitrack audio clips OR 2) how to bring them into FCPX as is so that they’ll be in my Event as multitrack audio clips.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Ned
