  • How to import every 20th frame

I generated my image sequence out of Maya and rendered every 20th frame. How can I bring this sequence into AE so it reads frame 1 for 19frames then displays frame 20 for 19 frames etc. Or alternately bring in a sequence and but them all up against each other, for example frame 1,21,41,61 etc all together to be a 16frame sequence.

Currently AE puts color bars between fame 1 and 21 and 41 etc.

    Thank you in advance.

Well I just discovered setting my comp to 1frame per second will kind of do the job, but it still puts color bars between each shot. frame 1 looks good frame 2 is color bars frame 3 looks good frame 4 is color bars etc.

    Any other solutions ?

I would suggest precomping the image sequence and putting that into another comp and time remap it to stretch it out.

Try checking “Force alphabetical order” when importing your image sequence. That should ignore the missing frames and treat it as a 16 frame image sequence.
