How to import bluray in Premiere?
Hi,
Is it possible to import a movie from bluray to premiere?
One year ago I made my first short movie in after effects. I rendered the movie directly to bluray. Now I want to put a part of the movie into my showreel, but I can’t find the After Effects file anymore. So my question is, whether I can import the bluray into premiere (CS4).
Or is there any other way with CS4 to rip the bluray into a full HD file?

Copy BD to HDD and go into the STREAM directory there you will find your movie, its a m2ts file. You can import this into Premiere.

I just got an external BD burner drive, and am taking it for a spin (no pun intended).
Since I have not burned any Blu-ray discs from my own videos yet, I just grabbed a disc (Avatar) to see what the file structure is, if I can play it back, etc.
I tried your suggestion above to pull one of the .m2ts files into Premiere Pro CS4. However, I get a File Import Failure window that says “Unsupported format or damaged file.” In addition to your post, Adobe.com says M2TS files are supported for import into CS4.
Is the problem that I am trying to pull files from a store-bought Blu-ray disc into Premiere, and there is some kind of copy protection, or is there something else I am doing wrong?
