How to have an object have a line as a trail
I’m trying to animate atoms, and the electrons swirling around the center would look so much nicer with a trail. I currently have a curved line that is rotating, but i feel like there has to be an easier way. I’ve looked everywhere and i keep getting useless information.

Andrew Kramer does a good tutorial animating a 3D stroke using AE’s native particle system, that might be what you are looking for. 3D Stroke Effect

Thanks for the reply, i’ll check that tutorial out, but I was looking for tips for flat motion graphics. Sorry for not clarifying

Do take note that I see an issue with the way he handles the Stretch Precomp. The Streaks PreComp and Comp are spot on.
