  how to get transparency of illustrator layer in Aftereffects (not object transparency)

  Hello Cows,

  Does anyone know how to get Illustrator layer transparency when importing into AE?
  i tried changing the opacity property in “appearance” “properties” and “transparency” but when i import the file in AE it brings in all layers with 100% transparency.

  PS: i need this as when converting Illustrator layers to AE native shapes it creates shape layers with 100% opaque, however it respects layer transparency (if the original AI layer has any)
