    Steve, I cntl,shift started, (I thought that was how to reset to defalut) and it didn’t fix.

    I have CTRL-SHIFT-Open Vegas in the past and it DID reset it back to where Vegas would show this dialog again.

    In the internal prefs, there’s an “Ask about capture app” option…

    You can reset this by selecting Tools-> preferences menu whilst holding the “shift” key.

    You will see an extra tab called “internal” if you type “capture” into the “Show only prefs containing” box you will see an option called “Ask about capture app”. If this is set to “FALSE” change it to “TRUE” (the default setting) click apply then OK.

    The Capture Video command should now behave as before, asking you if you want to capture DV or HDV.

    I had a similar problem. Credit to ‘MacVista’ on SCS forums who provided this solution.
