    Well i have Vegas 7,
i spent ages with Vegas but i can’t even get a REAL TIME Preview .
I learn everywhere that i can get Real Time Externel Preview by IEEE/1394, firewire
So i have intel 965 board with firewaire connector in it.

i have RTX100 Extreme Pro Video Card

but i can’t figure out how to get real time preview.

what i realy need what conector , card ? or anything ?

i only can get preview on externel monitor but its not REAL TIME preview you know..

i want as my Premiere views on my TV by the help of RTX100 Extreme Pro.

You know No Skips,Flicker, even with full of video filters but on externel TV i want to view it perfect as final during workflow,

ya i can preview on RAM but thats not the way,,

    Realy Thanks for your Time

If your footage is dv, you should easily have a realtime preview. We had that already in Vegas 3 on 5 mhz machines. Most likely you’ve set your project settings wrong. Go for the NTSC or PAL (dependent on what sect you’re in) presets in the project settings, connect the camera to the firewire port, and the monitor to the camera, and you should be ready.

Is your Preview window set to Best/Full?
If so, drop it down to Preview/Auto.

BTW, with the exception of certain video cards for Magic Bullet, Vegas won’t take advantage of any of the capabilities of your RTX100 video card – or any other video card for that matter.

Also, the more video FX you stack on it, the slower the preview will be.
That’s why Vegas has the RAM render feature.

I’ve been working with HDV for 2 years. The only real time preview I’ve gotten is with a Cineform (Aspect or Prospect) on Premiere. They rewrite the Premiere engine to run their codecs and it does. This is done with NO special card. It far surpasses anything I ever go in Vegas and that is with a Tyan board with 2 dual core cpus.
