How to get full screen program output through video card.
If my project is DV, under Project Settings>General, Playback Settings I can set the external device to the DV output to view my program output full screen. However if the project is set for HDV I have the option to use monitor 2 (NTSC)on my video card under this setting. (although I tried setting this way and it made the premier interface go completely black, had to restart it to get back to original)
Is it possible to set the S-Video of the video card (nVidia Quadro2500 laptop card) as the “external device” to monitor the program output while editing DV??? or is my only solution to get a DV to Analog converter to preview the wysiwig output?

Well I was looking at the Canopus ADVC110 a/d d/a converter, and I know that would be a solution.
But here is the interesting thing, it sort of works. One thing I figured out is that I need to have the NTSC monitor plugged into the jack and set up to be part of the desktop before booting premier. Then when I boot up PPro, I can see the output there, well almost… It does things like, switch to show you preview or program depending on which one you are using, just like it should. But some things, like unrendered layers, don’t show up right away on the analog out, while they do show up in the DV output. Once the clip is rendered it shows up on the analog out too.
Anyway it seems like more than a fluke that it mostly works, and since there is support for displaying on that output under the HDV settings I’m hoping I can get it to work.
Seems like such a shame to have to pay $200 bucks and lug another box around when I may have what I need right in the computer.
