  • How to get better playback in QuickTime Player?

I wonder why my HDV and Pro Res Quicktime files rendered from the FCP timeline don’t play all that smooth in my QuickTime Player (7.6.6)? Most of the video looks fine, but it is mainly on camera movement or most clearly on the “Cube Spin” transition where it is very stuttery (looks more like frame-rendered rather than field-rendered-smooth output). The same QT file plays back very smoothly in the FCP viewer (and on my output monitor), but just not so good in QT Player. The same goes for wmv’s played in QT…

    Thanks again!

Ha, but thanks for the tip . . . no, it wasn’t checked, but now that it is, it plays no differently (though i closed and re-opened the app).

    Thanks again!
