How to get AVID to work with Freenas
I am a relatively new AVID user working with MC 7. I have a new iMac with Maverick 10.9.2. A friend helped me build a 10 tb file server using freenas.
I am having a problem saving any project I work on to the freenas server. I get the error, “Project setting is not saved due to an error. Exception: Resource temporarily unavailable, filename: XXXX.avp.”
Does anyone have experience getting AVID to work with freenas?
I found a stray forum post discussing something about a glitch between AVID and AFT (apple file transfer protocol), but the post didn’t continue past the initial posting.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I’m new to this kind of setup but committed to working this through if possible.

Use NFS. It works.
