I’d like to create an effect that looks like an unrendered shot, with an effect on it. Almost like a slo-mo but without actually extending the clip, just playing through it with dropped frames.

Can’t remember…is there a “ghosting” filter in the effects like on Legacy? Not in front of my machine.

Posted from iPad, please excuse typos!

If you speak every other word, you can get a decent stutter effect.

Add beer and you can move to a stammer.

    I’m being a jackass.

It might be too much but there’s some pretty cool artifacts available here: https://www.tangentfx.com/product/glitcher/

In legacy the effect was called “strobe.” I haven’t seen the same effect built in to X. Maybe something 3rd party out there.

When I create this kind of effect, I just chop out frames, add a frame or two off black, here and there, and resize and intermittent frame or two, sometimes add a little twist or tilt. It all depends on exactly what I’m looking for. I never liked the look of “strobe,” particularly, because it looked too uniform. It really doesn’t take as long as you might think, and gives you something unique.
