  • How To Fix RED tints

I have a single chip Canon HD camera that I’m using.

    The picture is great EXCEPT

Reds come out more orange than they should.

HOW CAN I ADJUST THE TINT OF JUST THE REDS TO MOVE THEM TOWARDS THE MAGENTA AND GET TRUE RED WITHOUT AFFECTING ANY OTHER COLORS IN THE PICTURE? What FX and how?

I’ve been playing with various color FX and haven’t found the secret yet.

    Simplest solution please.
    Thanks
    Neil

Okay- I figured it out- FOR FREE.

Vegas really needs a color correction tool like you get in Adobe Elements- the ability to tweak individual colors- a 6 color channel thing- it doesn’t have it.

HOWEVER- I stumbled across this free plug-in, that does EXACTLY what I need– i.e. I can now get my cheap single CCD CMOS camera to give me correct reds.

    Here’s the plug-in:

It is a six color vector correction FX.
Works easily and beautifully, and does what Vegas SHOULD have the ability to do, but doesn’t.
