  • How to Fix Bad Pixels on a FS-100?

Posted by Thomas Hughes on October 18, 2012 at 10:44 pm

I’ve got an FS-100 and there are two spots in the picture. They’re not the lenses so I’m thinking perhaps they’re bad pixels. With my PDW-F350 cameras, if you have a bad pixel, you black balance a few times and it fixes them. Is there a similar fix for the FS-100? Thank you.

Same procedure but on the FS100 you access from Menu–>Camera Set–>Auto Black Balance. Do this 5-6 times after the camera has been powered on for at least an hour..

If you are referring to the Sony NEX-FS100, then hot pixels could electronically be remapped. You typically do not have to have the sensor replaced. If you would like more details on this you could give me a call.
