How to Fill an Object with Shapes
Hello,
I’m still new to illustrator and I was wondering how to go about making something like the below image.
Essentially, I’m trying to take a shape similar to the number 1 above and fill it with shapes.

I believe it just has to do with moving the shapes around. what I would do is outline the big shape, lower the opacity, then in a new layer just place the smaller shapes in the appropriate areas
