If you export it as DV-AVI you will be in good shape. Uncompressed just create a huge file that is really no better quality than the original DV.

The problem is I need to edit this footage in Vegas and then send it back to Premiere. I’ve tried to save it as a Microsoft AVI uncompressed but it loses the 16×9 flag. Is there a way to save it uncompressed in the 16×9 format?

    Andy,

Microsoft AVI is not the answer.

Export as a DV-AVI with the proper Pixel Aspect Ratio for 16:9 and you should be able to send it back and forth to the two different programs. DV-AVI is how it comes off the camera in the first place, so that is why both apps can handle it.
