How to export to these specs?
Hi all,
Hoping you have the answer to this. How do i export a file to these specs?
- Video Format: H.264 QuickTime file (MOV) with the same bitrate as the MP4 you sent to us
- Audio Channels:
- Channels 1, 2: English
- Channels 3, 4: Italian
- Channels 5, 6: Spanish
First off I am unsure how to wrap an H264 as MOV through Premiere/AME. Secondly, I didn’t think it was possible to create multiple audio streams with H264. How can I accomplish this?

So you are trying to convert the MP4 video that you received to a H.264 MOV format for export? From what I researched so far, it seems that Adobe removed the H264 Codec from After Effects but not sure about Premiere Pro. Have you tried the Adobe Media Encoder to see if you can render the H.264 format? Seems you can do it with H.264 MP4 but you will have to check if you can do the same with H.264 MOV as well.

Exporting .mov with h.264 codec
Hey, im having trouble exporting a video 1920x1080px to .mov and using h.264 coedc, After Effects doesn´t allow me to use that codec. Hope someone can help me!

Hey David,
I am not sure that Adobe can do multi-track in H264 format, even if wrapped in a .mov file.
Through, sometimes, painful experiences I found out that you are best off setting up a new sequence for multi-channel export.

You’re right, Adobe can’t do this but I figured out the workaround.
To end up with multiple audio streams in an h.264 format:
Multichannel Sequence > Export as ProRes > Import into Handbrake > Set up audio channels > Export again.
