  • How to export tga file with alpha?

I’m in Boris Red and trying to export a vector text out of Red as a tga file. I can’t figure how to export so that there is no background. Is there a way to export as a tga file with a transparent background? How do I add alpha channel when exporting?

    Thanks!

If you turn all tracks off, except for the graphic that has the alpha info (tranparency), you should see the checkered background. Do file-export-TGA and the alpha is automatically attached. I do this often with titles.

PS….if you are bringing the graphic in from an NLE into Boris, you will not see the alpha, as all of the NLEs that I have used do not pass along the alpha info to Boris, so you would have to import the graphic into Boris from your hard drive.
