    Hi, got to admit I don;t know much about Hd.. I have premiere creative suite, with the p2 patch, anwya a friend filmed something in 720.pn.dvcprohd 25pn.. I set it up to edit and used the custom setting ont he projects tab to make a 50p proj, 25p.. anyway it looks ok in prog but can;t export it out as a film, keep getting a pulsing effect the image is kind of mosaiced a bit, if someone could give me some advice it would be really appreciatied as I am doing this for a friend and don;t wnat to let him down..thanks

    Hi, wow thanks for getting back.. I have never doen anything HD only MiniDv till now.. anway I am just exporting it through the normal export movie setting.. i think it is using the cinepak compression.. what are the best setting etc to get the footage out into a movie file.. thanks again for taking an interest, it would really help, as I said at mo it’sa bit of a mosaic with some pulsing

    Cinepak would be your problem. That compressor is very much outdated and should never be used.

    If you need a smaller size, try exporting using the Adobe Media Encoder option, either H.264 or Windows Media, you’ll have to play with the settings, from 500 Kbps up to 10 Mb/s.

    For best quality (big size), you could use the movie export and set the export to Quicktime Animation at 100% or AVI uncompressed.

    Hi that sounds really usefull.. I was just wondering, one last little thing, I want to upload the final video to youtube for their short film competition, what would be the best resoloution for that, if you have the time..thanks.

    wow a load of informative stuff to look thourhg, hopefully I can get something to work, I was really frantic when I tried the first output because it looked so bad and didn;t want to diapoint my frined who has put allot of effort into the filming. So thanks..
