How to export CUT scene in Premiere CS3?
Hi there, I’m a newbie, so don’t be to hard on me. 🙂
I’ve isolated a particular in/out scene in Premiere CS3, and want to export this clip ONLY. Problem is, when I do the usual “export” or “export media” options, I end up exporting the entire video, instead of just the 5 minute clip I want. What am I doing wrong?

Set the work bar over the part you want to export. In the export settings set it to ‘work bar area’ instead of ‘sequence’

Do as Ann says. You will also find links to many free tutorials in the PremiereProPedia that will quickly show you how things are done in Premiere Pro.

I’m experienceing the same problem exporting from premiere cs3.
I have HD footage scaled down to an SD frame on my timeline, and I’m double clicking on the clip to load it into the source monitor and then hitting export (to export the full res, unscaled HD plate to AE for compositing, – and before you say, ‘just import the Premiere comp into AE’, I’m using Sony XDCAM and am getting black frame artifacts from my .mp4 compressed source files making that workflow seemingly impossible.
So back to exporting hi-res masters from Premiere, the in to out says 20seconds for example, but it’ll export me the entire clip. And yes, I have gone into the settings and selected ‘in to out’ instead of ‘entire clip’, but it still doesn’t comply.
Monstrously frustrating. Apologies for typos.
