  • How to export captions in DNxHD MXF format

I have been asked by a broadcast station to provide a copy of my film in DNxHD 145 mbps 1920×1080 59.94 format with closed captioning. I am using Premiere Pro CC.

    1) I’ve seen tutorials on how to edit existing caption files in Premiere, but I don’t have anything to start with. How do I start with creating them from scratch? What do I need to do to get the captions included with the video file?

    2) I assume I choose DNxHD MXF OP1a from the format menu when queueing to Encoder. Correct me if I’m wrong.

    3) My movie was mostly shot in 29.97fps, with a few parts in 24. Would I still choose 59.94 when exporting or 29.97?

    4) What should I be expecting at the end of the process? How many and what kind of files? My movie is about 51 min. long. How large should the file be?
