  • How to export a single frame like in Premiere ver.7 ???

Posted by Mike Prindle on January 14, 2010 at 8:18 am

    Two questions:

It seems like my old Version 7 Premiere had the option to export a single frame from an AVI file in the timeline to a single .bmp pic. I recall using that single frame to simulate a freeze frame in the stream. But there is no such option in the Pro CS4 Export flyout menu. What to do?

Second, when timeline plays, it plays past the last frame and stops at a black screen. Can I stop instead at the last frame so it shows at the end point? Will this then follow suit when played on a player so that the movie ends with last frame showing until the play button is pressed?

    Thanks,
    Mike

Put the CTI on the frame, select export in the File menu, then Media, then select the Format from the Format dropdown menu, then select the Preset from the Preset dropdown menu, then click on output Name, name it and where you want to put it.

    Hi Brian.
That worked like a charm… thank you very much. I forgot about noticing the bmp in the Presets before, likely because I was always looking for a file, not a bitmap. Plus I get in a habit from the old version’s menus.
    Thanks,
    Mike
