  • How to export a 360 Project as Standard video?

Posted by Dustin Joost on February 4, 2024 at 3:37 pm

Hi there – I have a 360 project that contains a mix of 360 and standard footage. I flattened the 360 footage using the reorient tools – my intention is for this to be viewed as a standard video, not in a VR headset or 360 viewer.

I’ve exported the file using H.264 at the highest resolution, and when I watch the video in VLC or upload it to YouTube, it’s 360 footage with a narrow field of view that I can move around.

I’m trying to make it standard. When I open the video in a non-360 player like Quicktime, it’s standard with the correct orientation and field of view.

    What am I missing?

You’ll need to start with a standard project, and bring your 360 footage into that. Set your output dimensions/frame rate when you create the project, don’t use Automatic Settings.
