How to export 14500px by 500px sequence from Adobe Premiere?
Hi,
I am making content for a LED screen that has a 29:1 aspect ratio. Right now my sequence in premiere is 14500px by 500px. I am trying to export this and the only format I can export as is quicktime. I haven’t found a media player that can playback the quicktime files on windows 10 and the file sizes are HUGE! Like 80gb. What should I do? Should I make my sequence smaller so I can export as H.265 or some other format? I’ve never done something like this before so if anyone else has any input on this it would be much appreciated.

Get the delivery specifications from whoever is responsible for playing stuff back on the screen.

Export to QT then transcode to an mp4. I had to do that until I figured out a more direct route using AE.

why don’t you just export as H265 since it supports that custom aspect ratio?

How do I transcode from Quicktime to MP4? Also, I thought quicktime only supports up to 4k sequences. My sequence is 16k long.

From what I have found h.265 only supports up to 8k. I could downsize the sequence to 8k. I just want to keep it as high as quality as possible.

Usually the playback systems that show this kind of stuff have the file split into smaller files and then sync them in playback. I’ll say again: Get. The. Delivery. Specification.

It is best to work at half scale or so and let the system scale it up. I don’t know why no one thinks QT can handle odd aspects and frame sizes… I’ve done it for custom walls before – not quite with that size. A QT using PNG is a good codec to render to, then transcode to h264 mp4 using AME – and it will work with that resolution, test it out first. AE can handle going straight to the custom h264 better than PPro can.
But, yes, check to find out if the system it is being played back on really uses that image size.

And if PPro decides to choke on it, send it to AE. I’ve def had better luck with AE for these things.

you must change the value of LEVELS in the export settings> codification settings
