  • How to execute Python Script in Cinema 4d Lite?

Posted by Mark Thompson on December 29, 2016 at 11:39 am

    Hi,
Just tried to execute a generated ‘Hello World’ script in C4D Lite but nothing happens ☹
The script manager is all there, when I press the execute button nothing happens. The script does not report errors if I force them in.

Any ideas as to why it doesn’t work?

I suspect an enable/disable setting somewhere but I can’t find one.

Even if this is not supported in Cinema 4d Lite – I would expect an error or something.

By the way COFFEE script seems to work just fine.

    thanks

I don’t use Cinema 4D Lite, but doing a quick search returned several sites (Lynda.com, Greyscalegorilla) reporting that it doesn’t include Python. Those reports were both from 2013 but I’m guessing they still apply.
