How to end an effect
I want to use Hue/Saturation to give a certain part of my video an orange tone, but I only want it for a certain amount of thime, and not fot the rest of the video. How do I make a start and end point for this effect?

You can either keyframe the effect or apply to an adjustment layer and trim that layer to the length you need the effect to be up for.

If you use an adjustment layer as Ted suggests, you can keyframe its opacity to fade the effects in and out.

And some effects have a “mix with original” setting, for which you can set keyframes.
