  • How to draw a rectlinear spline?

In illustrator I can hold shift to draw a spline where each point is perpendicular to the last. In Maya I just hold down the X key. How can I do this in C4D? I have tried all sorts of point snapping options and I can’t seem to find the right one. This seems like such a simple workflow yet i’ve been here for over and hour and can’t figure it out.

In R14 you can turn on snapping + guide snapping + dynamic guide and you will get a perpendicular snap. Prior to R14 you pretty much just have to restrict yourself to grid snapping, or else align the points manually after drawing.

Nice to know they got around to addressing this. Thanks Adam!
