    hi all

    i have 2 video filew, which i have uploaded to rapidshare site

    i would like to know how to achieve

    i.)in the first file , how to get that effect.. from white to colour… one of my friend said that it is done using levels.. just by animating the levels,,,
    however i was unable to achieve such an effect..

    ii.) in the second file, how to get that color graded effect.. leave colour can be used
    to leave the red back.. but that effect .. just like black and white .. i donno how to
    explain that effect… how can i get that effect.. is it done using levels

    please lead me

    hope somebody can help me .

    1. Just adjust the levels until you get white. Keyframe it, then adjust them until you get normal. If not, go to https://www.buena.com and download the Effect Essentials demo. Their “camera flash” effect is free. Also, search the cow for “camera flash”.

    2. Effect>stylize>leave color. Set it to “hue”, not “RGB”.

    Adding to Steve’s comments, I think you will need to control your saturation as well. The first clip is doing a cheap simulation of what a real film camera does when you start and stop the motor. When you crush the levels down that aggresively, the saturation will jump through the roof. You will probably need to keyframe the saturation dropping at the same time to balance things out. A real film camera actually gets slightly washier when it over exposes whereas clipping the levels will do the opposite to the amount of chroma in the shot.
