how to do things in vegas
i have a few how to do questions on vegas pro 8
1. I know how to make an energy ball but how do you make it move with your hand?
2. How do you make a high jump and land on the ground as if it broke the ground
3. How to make a time freeze while someone is moving past the time freeze

Balls – read up on key-framing on the manual.
Launch – Tape the scene twice. One with the actor jumping up, one with no actor. Put the event with the actor on a track above the empty scene. End the event where the actor begins the jump. The streak of the “actor” is probably a single frame of the actor with the background removed in Photoshop. The dirt is likely another jpeg image.
Time Freeze – look at “Velocity Envelope” in the manual.Steve Mann

The freeze frame was probably done by grabbing the last frame of the jump as a still, remove the background in photoshop (save as PSD or PNG with transparency), then over lay that image onto the second clip with the kid walking by.
